The trail takes you to the first fall, after that you have to be able to climb banks and rock cliffs. It can be done without gear, but there is a sign that says don't continue. When you get past the sign there are some spectacular falls. If the water is low you can cross the creek on the way to the falls stepping across stones.
Well, the 5 stars are for the Adams Falls. Trail has several creek-crossings which are all bridge-less. Luckily there are plenty of fallen trees which serve as tricky, but usable bridges. The creek banks are too steep to hike safely, so the crossings are necessary. The falls at the end can be quite spectacular when the water levels are up. Still nice even with a low to moderate flow running.
