We had the perfect stay! This hotel is beautiful. The staff is friendly and truly go out of their way to make you feel special, which says allot. We had dinner @ Bar Louis. Fabulous to say the least. The continental breakfast was great! Try the homemade yogurt. We purchased some next store to bring home along with the homemade granola. Rooms are comfortable and relaxing. The grounds are beautiful. Milford itself is a great little town!! We walked around town and shopped local. Enjoy!!
Had dinner in the Delmonico Room which is beautifully appointed. We were there on what must have been an off night and there was only one other couple. The wait staff was very attentive and service prompt but can only wish the meal was a little better prepared. Both salads were tasty but the vegetables should have been slightly more cooked as was the case with the entree. The wine by the glass was excellent. For the cost however, the meal should have been several notchs better. Understand from many who have been there, that Bar Louis downstairs is a better experience and will definitely try that next time.
We ate at Bar Louis. Her pasta dish was excellent. My scallops were disappointing. Neither the scallops nor the polenta were very flavorful, and the cooking of the scallops was inconsistent. Some were rather underdone and some were near to what I expected. Still, the ambiance is cozy and our server was a delight. Our desserts were tasty and a good end to the meal. We'll be back to give them another chance.
Spent a night here. Had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend it. Friendly staff. Beautiful room. Center of town.
We stayed here before and were so amazed by the entire experience, we made it a point to stay again when in the area. Staff, restaurant (Bar Loius), guest room, ambiance and especially the breakfast are all TOP NOTCH. Get ready to be amazed by the yogurt and the granola! Superb!
