This is not a “diamond in the rough” or “jewel” campground, as other reviewers have stated. First, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT follow GPS directions to the campground, especially if you are pulling a camper! You will travel on gravel roads with hairpin turns up/down very rough roads! Directions are not provided on their website, so call for directions.
Just enjoyed a fantastic mid-week stay at this campground. It was the best campground I've ever used, and I was pleasantly surprised. The sites are beautifully maintained, they are well spaced so you don't feel crowded in, and the owner is super kind. My toddler had a blast with the ducks, the chickens, and playing on the playground and in the sand pit.
The showers / bathroom are in great condition, too. Looking forward to returning!
Friendly, affordable and a great quick camping trip. They were friendly, we had plenty to do and loved everything around us.
This is a very, very basic campground for camper/trailer campers. While a nice playground is located in a large field, there are no other amenities. The bathhouses are extremely outdated and we refused to use them. Although we reserved a site for 5 nights, we checked out after only one night and no refund was available.
The owners are great and extremely helpful with getting things set up and a well equipped if you are missing some essentials
The campground is probably one of the best I've been too. Me and my girlfriend had a fantastic site close to the bathrooms which were cleaned well every single day. The man in charge of the camp was extremely helpful especially when we needed a jump on our car and he rushed over to help us out. It was peaceful, calm, and beautiful at the campground. Only 15 minutes from Frenchtown but just far enough away where it some feels like you're completely alone. Everything was cleaned and we'll kept. I would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone interested in visiting the area.
A great place for beginner level camping. Beautiful views and trails with CLEAN bathrooms and showers with warm water as well. Might be a bit packed unless you choose the sites with no electricity, but great nonetheless.
